Search Options

Version

Visual Prolog Knowledge Base search allows to select the articles for a selected product version or build .

Type

The option allows to select only the entries with a defined article type. The following types of articles might exist:

  • "Bug" articles discuss faults in a product that the PDC knows about and is investigating for a possible future fix. Often we provide steps to work around the problem.
    If a bug is fixed in a new release of the product, the "Bug" article includes information about the product version, where the Bug is fixed.
    Some bugs are marked as fixed in a "internal release ". This indicates that the bug has been fixed in a version of the product that has not yet become available as a public release.  Once a release becomes available, the actual release name  is used instead of "internal release".

  • "Problem" articles discuss problems that appear to be bugs but really are not. Such problems might be caused by typical programmer coding errors, or by interaction of application code, local environment configuration, and third-party software products being used, etc. "Problem" articles demonstrate proper workarounds, if possible.

  • "Question" articles contain answers to frequently asked user questions, alongside with some tips and tricks that we have found useful and presented here as questions.

Category

The filter selects the articles assigned to some  product category (e.g. Setup, Examples. Development Environment).

Keywords / ID

The filter searches:
  • for the articles with a specified identifier (ID);
  • for the articles that include a specified word or a string.
